Job Title: Data Analyst
Location: Remote serving Brazoria and Galveston Counties
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Working Status: Full Time with Benefits
Summary:
The Data Analyst supports organizational excellence by overseeing data-driven processes that monitor, evaluate, and improve program performance across the Center. Responsibilities include conducting audits, analyzing satisfaction surveys, and tracking performance through multiple databases. The Data Analyst compiles and develops reports to inform the Executive Teams, meet project deadlines, and advance organizational goals. This role requires independence, attention to detail, adherence to deadlines, and strict confidentiality in handling sensitive information.

Job Duties: (To be performed with or without accommodation as based on ADA requirements)
The Data Analyst will be responsible for the following:
Essential Job Duties:
- Data Collection and Processing:
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources.
- Clean and preprocess data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Develop scripts and workflows to automate data collection and processing tasks.
- Data Analysis and Interpretation:
- Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Apply statistical and analytical techniques to derive insights from complex datasets. Conduct hypothesis testing and predictive modeling to support business objectives.
- Data Visualization and Reporting:
- Create visually appealing and interactive dashboards, reports, and presentations.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders using data visualization tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver actionable insights.
- Data Quality Assurance:
- Validate data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
- Identify and address data quality issues and discrepancies.
- Implement data quality controls and monitoring mechanisms.
- Business Intelligence and Decision Support:
- Partner with business units to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
- Collaborating with programmers and organizational leaders to identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend system modifications, and develop policies for data governance.
- Provide decision support through ad-hoc analysis and scenario modeling.

- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analytics.

- Requires current Texas Driver's License, reliable transportation and must maintain current auto liability insurance.

Required Education:
Preferred Education/Licensure/Certifications:
- Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field
Required Licensure/Certifications:
Required Experience:
- One to two years of progressive responsibility and experience in data analysis, business intelligence, quality assurance or related roles
Preferred Experience:
- Electronic medical record experience preferred, familiarity with CMBHS and Smartcare.
Abilities/Traits:
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.) is a plus.
- Knowledge of machine learning and data mining techniques is desirable.
- Must be able to articulate clearly and effectively using good grammar verbally and in writing, as well as ability to make constructive use of professional supervision.
- Requires ability to work within a team approach.
- Must be able to work independently and organize work effectively using time management tools.
- Requires proficiency with computer skills, programs and email.
Working Conditions:
- Work will be performed in the Office and/or Remotely setting(s).
- May require varied work hours depending on the need of clients.
- Out-of-region travel may be required to attend trainings.
- May require travel to various locations within Brazoria and Galveston Counties. Requires current Texas Driver's License, reliable transportation safe and current with all state requirements, and liability insurance.
Special Projects:
- Assist supervisor when requested to complete special projects and complete all assignments within a time frame negotiated with the supervisor. Completion of other duties assigned by supervisor as it relates to the program and position.
