Summary:

Under the supervision of the Chief Information Officer, the Project Manager - Training will lead the redesign of the Training Department and assist with Electronic Health Record (EHR) training initiatives as part of the Project Management Office (PMO). This individual will collaborate closely with project managers, stakeholders, and team members to ensure the successful execution of training programs that enhance employee development and organizational effectiveness. The Project Manager will primarily focus on the redesign of the Training Department, oversee and conduct EHR training, person-centered recovery training, and other specialty training initiatives, as well as the update of program policies and procedures, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the organization and its employees.

The Project Manager-Training will be responsible for the following:

Essential Job Duties:

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of the Training Department redesign in alignment with established timelines, budgets, and objectives.
  • Oversee and conduct EHR training programs to ensure staff are proficient in utilizing the system effectively.
  • Maintain the training schedule, ensuring all training sessions and resources are appropriately organized and communicated.
  • Represent the Training Department at GCC project meetings, providing updates and insights on training initiatives and progress.
  • Coordinate and facilitate EHR testing to ensure system functionality meets training needs.
  • Oversee and conduct person-centered recovery training and any specialty training required by the organization.
  • Lead the project to update program policies and procedures across Gulf Coast Center, ensuring compliance and relevance.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies for both the redesign and EHR training initiatives.
  • Maintain project documentation, including charters, schedules, meeting minutes, and status reports related to the training and EHR initiatives.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support project planning, decision-making, and reporting activities related to training programs and EHR implementation.
  • Analyze data and generate reports to support training metrics and outcomes.
  • Identify and document business requirements, translating them into functional specifications for project teams.
  • Support the continuous improvement of project management processes, tools, and templates within the PMO.
  • Promote adherence to and understanding of the agency's compliance policy.
  • Communicate with various departments to develop and maintain community partnerships.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Will be responsible and accountable for the adherence to and promotion of the agency compliance policy and will require communication with various departments to foster, develop and continue our community partnerships as it relates to the position.

  • Consistent adherence to Center safety guidelines and expectations.
  • May be required to travel within Brazoria and Galveston Counties.
  • Out of region travel may be required to attend trainings.
  • Must maintain a clear driving record and driver's license in accordance with our Driver Policy.
  • Requires current Texas Driver's License, reliable transportation and must maintain current auto liability insurance.

Supervision:

  • Receives direct supervision from the Portfolio Manager and CCBHC Director as part of the PMO.

Required Education:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent relevant experience.

Preferred Education/Licensure/Certifications:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or working towards the credential.

Required Experience:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic to moderately complex hardware and software products, with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading training teams.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with EHR systems and training, as well as business analysis and data analysis tools and methodologies.

Abilities/Traits:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Windows 10.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency with computer skills, programs, and email.

Working Conditions:

  • Work will be performed in remote settings, with occasional travel required for meetings and training.
  • May require varied work hours based on project needs.

  • Ability to transport and move items up to 45 lbs.
  • Ability to ascend/descend stairs and remain stationary for long periods.
  • Ability to operate office equipment and navigate various settings as needed.

  • Required to pass and maintain all center-mandated trainings.

Work Site/Environmental Conditions:
