Job Title: Summer Internship Program (Unpaid)

Location: Hybrid (On-Site & Remote - Local Area Required)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Unpaid Internship)

Working Status: Temporary (June 1 - July 31; Approximately 20 Hours per Week)

Summary:

The Summer Internship Program is designed to provide students with hands-on, real-world experience across a variety of disciplines that support the transformation of behavioral health services. Interns will engage in meaningful projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and gain exposure to fields such as Information Technology, Data Analysis, Finance, Artificial Intelligence, and Facilities Management.

This is an unpaid, hybrid internship running from June 1 through July 31, requiring an average commitment of approximately 20 hours per week. Interns are expected to work on-site two days per week, with the remaining hours completed remotely. Applicants must reside in or be living in the local area and be available to participate in person.

Job Duties:

The Summer Intern will be responsible for the following:

Essential Job Duties:

  • Participate in assigned projects that contribute to improving and transforming behavioral health services
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including IT, Data Analytics, Finance, AI, and Facilities Management
  • Assist departments with research, data collection, reporting, and operational tasks
  • Attend team meetings, trainings, and organizational events (both on-site and virtual)
  • Support process improvement initiatives and innovation projects
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work and project progress
  • Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and strong work ethic
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
  • Adhere to all organizational policies, including confidentiality and compliance standards
  • Treat all individuals with the utmost courtesy, decency, and respect
  • Provide responsive and efficient support to internal teams
  • Maintain consistent adherence to the Center's Dress Code and safety guidelines during on-site days

Non-Essential Job Duties:

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Supervision:

Receives direct supervision from assigned department supervisor or program manager

Required Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be currently enrolled in a 4-year college or university

Required Experience:

  • No prior professional experience required
  • Interest in behavioral health or related fields

Preferred Experience:

  • Coursework or exposure to fields such as IT, Data Analysis, Finance, AI, or Facilities Management
  • Experience working in team-based or project-based environments

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid work environment: minimum two (2) days per week on-site; remaining hours completed remotely
  • Approximately 20 hours per week throughout the internship duration
  • Standard business hours with some flexibility based on department and project needs
  • Interns must be able to reliably commute for on-site workdays
