Job Title: Crisis Counselor Team Lead - CCP
Location: Office in Alvin, TX. Serves individuals in Brazoria and Galveston Counties
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Working Status: Full Time with Benefits

The Crisis Counselor Team Leader position will work under the Crisis Counseling Program grant provided by FEMA. This is a temporary position designed to provide support and referrals to individuals and groups impacted by Hurricane Beryl.
Job Duties: (To be performed with or without accommodation as based on ADA requirements)
The CCP Team Lead will be responsible for the following:
Essential Job Duties:
Leads a team of crisis counselors in the field. Is usually an experienced disaster behavioral health worker or behavioral health professional who supervises paraprofessional or less experienced crisis counselors. May help to assess people who require traditional mental health or substance use treatment. May be one of several team leads on staff with a provider, depending on the size and scope of the disaster. Trains, debriefs, and provides supervision for the crisis counselors. Uses data to conduct ongoing needs assessment. Coordinates data collection activities and reviews data form submissions for accuracy. If the program is using the mobile application, the team leader reviews and accepts or rejects forms submitted through the mobile application. May use the mobile application to complete data forms. Provides coordination and oversight of the crisis counselors' plans of service. May perform crisis counseling as needed. Work with the understanding of needing to meet program outreach and encounter metrics.
Will be responsible and accountable for the adherence to and promotion of the agency compliance policy and will require communication with various departments to foster, develop and continue our community partnerships as it relates to the position.

May be required to travel within Brazoria and Galveston Counties.
Out of region travel may be required to attend trainings.
Must maintain a clear driving record and driver's license in accordance with our Driver Policy.
Requires current Texas Driver's License, reliable transportation and must maintain current auto liability insurance.
Non-Essential Job Duties:
Assists with the identification and resolution of problems encountered during daily operations. Provides relevant program information to the Program Manager for the maintenance of related databases. Promotes program goal that services to clients are consistent and aligned with CCP's principles and adhering with established standard operating procedures and systems.
Supervision:
Receives direct supervision from Program Manager- CCP
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in behavioral science or related field
Preferred Education/Licensure/Certifications:
Master's degree in behavioral science or related field
Required Experience:
4 years experience in community outreach and training in disaster behavioral health.
Familiar and comfortable working with issues related to disaster response and recovery, substance use disorders, mental health, harm reduction and trauma informed care
3 years proven record of leadership and staff/program development skills with a minimum of 4 direct reports.
Preferred Experience:
Knowledge and experience related to Crisis Counseling Program, Disaster Mental Health, Crisis Work, and Trauma Informed Care preferred
Minimum of 3 years of related experience working with diverse populations
Possess skill set including experience with individual and group crisis intervention, motivational interviewing, resource referrals, care coordination, and community networking

Working Conditions:
Work will be performed in the Office, Field and/or remote setting(s).
May require varied work hours depending on need of clients.
Out of region travel may be required to attend trainings.
May require travel to various locations within Brazoria and Galveston Counties. Requires current Texas Driver's License, reliable transportation safe and current with all state requirements, and liability insurance.
Special Projects:
Assist supervisor when requested to complete special projects and complete all assignments within a time frame negotiated with the supervisor. Completion of other duties as assigned by supervisor as it relates to the program and position.
